Unfortunately, damages may occur during transport. Concerning cross-border circulation, the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR = Convention relative au contrat de transport international de marchandises par route) applies.

For damages to goods, it provides the following liability limitations:

In case of light-weight goods, differences between the goods value and the maximum liability amount of the freight forwarder can easily arise. This difference should be covered by transport insurance. You can assign the task of purchasing the insurance to us and we will insure each individual shipment for you. In case of damages, we will take charge of the settlement with the insurer on your behalf.

You also have the possibility to take out an insurance with an insurance company yourself. This is particularly recommendable if you intend to send a large number of shipments. In the event of damage, you can submit your claim directly to your insurance. Please note that the freight forwarder must always be notified of any damages immediately.
